Forex Book Choices: Do Not Fall For A Scam

booksWhen you go to a bookstore either offline or online you will see a whole range of forex book choices. There are some printed books that have almost become classics in the three decades that forex trading has been a recognized form of speculative investment.

However, many of these may seem outdated now that we have online trading that anybody can do from home. Something that was written in the days when currency trading was all undertaken by the big banks might still be helpful, but it takes some work for the small time home based trader to apply it to our modern situation.

Many books are also available now online in the form of an ebook. Sometimes these are regular printed books that the author has converted into an online format, and sometimes they are ebooks only.

You can generally download these instantly onto your computer the moment that you buy them without waiting for delivery or paying any shipping charge. You can then print them out if you want to, or simply read them on screen. This can be very convenient.

So how do you check that the forex book you are considering buying is not a scam?

In fact you need not worry too much because it is rare for a book or an ebook to be a scam. Usually you will be sent what you paid for. Whether you like what you are sent is another question, just as with anything that you get from mail order or online. In most cases you can get a refund anyway so it should not be a problem.

There certainly are forex trading scams but they mostly consist of people trying to get a hold of your investment funds. So do not rush into placing your funds with the first advertised broker or management scheme that you see. Check them out through forums and reviews for customer feedback, and be sure that they are regulated in whatever country they are based in. It is usually best to invest your money through a company in your own country or one that has plenty of laws preventing fraud and scams.

Even though your forex book is not likely to be an outright fraud, there are still some books that are much more worthwhile than others. For this reason it is worth taking a moment to check on the author’s own trading experience before you buy.

Be sure that the author does not downplay the risks, because forex trading is a risky business and you need to be fully aware of that. Look for feedback from other people like you who are putting the system into practice and check out their results if you can. All of this will help you pick out the best forex book to suit your needs from the many that are available.

Thats a good point and I agree, id say if the author does downplay the lists you probably reading the wrong book, I guess the point is to be aware of the risks regardless and add the valuable lessons learnt from various books to yoour trading arsenal
